Get in the festival spirit with a visit to Tennant Creek to enjoy the 22nd Desert Harmony Festival Anyinginyi Manu (26 August – 4 September). Proudly presented by Barkly Regional Arts, the festival celebrates the Barkly region’s thriving and vibrant cultural mix of Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists, musicians, dancers and writers. Kicking off with the annual street parade on 26 August at 5pm, highlights include the Song Peoples Session, starring singers Shellie Morris and Warren H. Williams, Artback NT’s DanceSite 2011, which showcases traditional Indigenous dance, and a Cultural Carnival at Nyinkka Nyunyu.
